“The growth of your own identity as a worthwhile person is, is basically . . . the biggest thing . . . thinking that you are a person who has got the right to do stuff and you have got stuff to contribute.”

Trauma survivor (Hartley et al, 2016).

"Emotional dependency is not immature or pathological; it is our greatest strength."

Couples Therapy

Over the last few years Sarah has developed a keen interest in working with couples.

If your relationship is in a state of conflict, or causes you distress, if it is lacking in emotional closeness, or has been affected by infidelity or other stressors, please get in touch to explore how she can help you.

Sarah uses Emotionally Focused Therapy because there is a strong evidence base demonstrating that therapy leads to an improvement in relationship satisfaction which can actually increase over the longer term, even after therapy has finished.

Clinical Supervision

Sarah is a registered supervisor with AHPRA and has been supervising other psychologists for over nine years.

She enjoys supervising psychologists at a variety of different stages in their career. She has worked as a Clinical Supervisor on the UTS Master of Clinical Psychology programme. Sarah has also supported many psychologists in successfully completing their endorsement programme.

Sarah focuses on developing a trusting and collaborative relationship with her supervisees and gains great satisfaction watching their growth over time.
